At its meeting of November 16, 2005, the board voted to waive CEU’s for the year of 2005 for all licensed massage therapists. The conditions are as follows:

 THE STATE OF LOUISIANA

Emergency Rule Secondary to Hurricane Impact 2005

1. Continuing Education requirements for licensure in 2006 are waived for all Louisiana licensed massage therapists.

2. Continuing Education hours earned during 2005 may be credited toward 2006 CEU requirements, if the courses have been approved by the state board.

3. Continuing Education course providers who have cancelled or rescheduled
   Board approved courses during the period from August 25, 2005 through December 31, 2005, need not seek approval or pay additional fees if they have had to cancel or reschedule previously approved programs.  However, the Board MUST be notified of any re-scheduled dates and locations.
